Caritas Ruse is a non-governmental organisation registered in 1992 that implements the social policy of the Catholic church in Northern Bulgaria (Nikopolis diocese with headquarters in Ruse town). On this territory the organisation maintains a network of offices, collaborators and volunteers through which it implements humanitarian projects during disasters and catastrophes as well as offers social services: Centres for home cares, Day centres for disabled children, social kitchens, work on projects for children in risk, etc.
Regarding the anti-trafficking issues Caritas Ruse implements projects and initiatives in partnership with state and municipal structures, NGOs from the country and abroad mostly in the area of prevention and protection of the victims of trafficking.
The organisation is a member of Caritas Bulgaria. |
